In partnership with VMware, we keep cranking on the Enterprise Hybrid Cloud (EHC). This is the tag we apply to “Self-Service IaaS solutions with on-premises and off-premises elements”.
We started with VMware-centric designs (the “EHC: Federation SDDC Edition”) focused on the best set of infrastructure resilience capabilities – for two reasons: 1) its where most of our customers are focused; 2) those are the set of capabilities that the bulk of “platform 2” enterprise workloads have their core requirements.
An example, applied, is Virtualized SAP Landscapes with rich scaling, deployment, migration, utilization, chargeback capabilities. This is all possible in the EHC 2.5 model. EHC 2.5 uses the full vRealize Suite and vSphere on top of Vblock Converged Infrastructure for the fastest time to deployment and certainty of outcome. For customers for whom for some reason Vblock isn’t a fit, VSPEX converged infrastructure with a partner is an option.
The short demonstration below shows the power of these tools – not rocket science (these are all broadly GA tools and products), but the tight integration, tight testing, pre-built workflows and dashboards mean you can get on to business – which is insanely valuable for customers stuck in analysis paralysis.

HINT: Speaking of Hybrid Clouds – we have some big news tomorrow. What is it? Here’s a hint – clouds will come in all sorts of forms. Some will be VMware-Centric. Others will not. Some will involve on premises stuff. Others will not. Some will not even involve IaaS/PaaS – but will be 100% SaaS.
