April = “Best Practices Month” for EMC/VMware Webcasts

In “VMware/EMC Weekly Webcast” land – every 3 months, we dedicate one month to pure “best practices” updates.  These are some of the MOST popular sessions.   They have the latest do’s and don’ts – and also are lead by experts who work on these solutions day in and day out, and are 100% marketing-free.

Like every “VMware/EMC weekly Webcast” – they are on Thursday, starting at 8am PT/11am ET/15pm GMT, and last an hour.   They also have staff on hand to answer questions asked during the webcast – a great opportunity if you are a customer, partner, or frankly anyone.  Remember, I’m doing a “Chad’s Choice” this week on the topic of ProSphere 1.5 including HOWTOs on getting the VM and giving it a whirl (register for that here)

• “Best Practices: VNX for VMware” in on April 5th, featuring Chris Banson and Tarik Dwiek.   These guys support VNXes deployed at Cisco, VMware, and all sorts of customers. They are on the vSpecialist squad, and also just solid citizens :-)
• “Best Practices: Backup and Recovery for VMware” is on April 12th, featuring Ed Walsh and Mike Zolla.  Ed is a vSpecialist par excellence – and Mike Zolla is one of the best folks in the EMC BRS team.  A lot of cool innnovative ideas have started with Mike, and for those of you using Avamar, Data Domain, or Networker – you’ll love the session, and it’s a great opportunity to give feedback right into the product team!
• “Best Practices: VMAX and VMAXe for VMware” is on April 19th, featuring Dave Robertson and Drew Tonneson.   These two have a lot of VMAX/VMAXe and VMware experience between the two of them.  Dave is one of the vSpecialists most focused on VMAX/VMAXe, and Drew is part of the VMAX/VMAXe product team.
• “Best Practices: When and How to Use Stretched Clusters” is on April 26th, featuring Scott Lowe.  Scott of course needs no introduction.  I will say that the amount he and I are requested to discuss this topic constantly surprises me.  Tune in for the latest!
