Ok – here’s the latest. Of the 97 vSpecialist gigs and 100 VCE gigs posted here (1 month ago!), here’s where we stand.
- vSpecialists: 49 of the openings have been filled, 48 remain. If we didn’t select you for some reason, there’s no point in re-applying, but conversely don’t just take it :-) The partner gigs rock – apply! If you didn’t get a response, we dropped the ball. Don’t be shy about pinging us again.
- To apply in the Americas: email coughlin underscore keith at emc dot com
- to apply in EMEA: email betrand dot lalanne at emc dot com.
- we have vSpecialist sales openings around the world too: email chris dot campbell2 at emc dot com
- Weird thing is Bay Area (home of VMware) and in the Netherlands (strange “ground zero” of the virtualization community), we continue to have open spots on the bench. For the netherlands, you can reach right out to the vSpecialist leader for EMEA north: dewitte underscore eric at emc dot com.
- vArchitects: don’t know the exact number, but I know they still have plenty of openings.
- To apply: email trelayto at cisco dot com
There are more openings that have opened up in really, REALLY cool gigs that I’ve classified into 3 buckets:
- In the Tech Marketing team at VMware. This is under Mornay Van Der Walt – a great guy. You might be familiar with the VMware GETO team, or the VMware Express? Key solutions guides? The “Hero Number” benchmarking? They do that kind of cool stuff :-) For this one – read below.
- I need someone to be a vSpecialist/Engineering hybrid that hangs out in Palo Alto with VMware. WAY less travel than a regular vSpecialist, less customer time. They would be an extension of both our vSpecialists and simultaneously part of Partner Engineering and the alliance team. For this one – email me directly. They need to be able to make magic happen, code/develop, pitch, integrate – I’m looking for someone that otherwise would be at a startup. You need to be a really unique type for this one. sakac underscore chad at emc dot com
- If you are a VMware/Cisco/EMC rockstar and want a more localized scene:
- Live in Southern California? TIG (great VCE partner) is hiring.
- Live in the Carolinas?
- VARROW (great VCE partner) – looking for great people for a VCE Practice.
- eGroup (great VCE partner) – looking for 4 outside sales, 1 presales, 3 post-sales folks – email hr@eGroup-us.com
