So – we’ve been doing an insanely popular EMC/VMware webcast series (every week, 11am eastern time, register here). The content is delivered by field vSpecialists, or key product experts. My guiding principle is make it useful, make it technical (feedback always welcome).
Once a quarter, I pop on and get to have fun with one with no pre-defined topic, which marketing has started to call “Chad’s Choice”.
I try to capture the “zeitgeist” of the common threads I see at customers and partners. I post a blog asking people what’s on their mind (this one was here). I try to focus on something that I think is cool (heck, why not! :-)
So, with out further ado…
This week, the topic will be “Top 5”. By that I mean:
- Top 5 New Best Practices based on vSphere 4.1 (VAAI, SIOC, etc) and New Storage Tech (thin, dedupe, auto-tiering, megacaches, 10GbE, FCoE, etc).
- Top 5 Exceptions to said Best Practice (for every rule, there is an exception)
- Top 5 Secret things we’re working on at EMC and VMware
The first two originate from questions from customers (“how does all this new stuff change best practices?”, “how do we reconcile ‘keep things easy for customers’ with ‘deploying mission critical SAP workloads on VMware’ and app-replatforming stuff that’s on AIX right now?’”).
The last bullet I have no idea how I’m going to fit into 15 minutes – it could be a train wreck :-)
And who doesn’t like a train wreck? :-) Register by clicking below…..
Chad, do you archive these sessions?
