If you look at the URLs on powerlink, the document number (EMC technical docs start with “H” and then four digits), many can be found directly on EMC.com, but powerlink is available to EMC customers, partners, and VMware employees.

You can’t imagine how much work goes on to produce 12 detailed technical papers every two weeks that focus specifically on VMware – but, it’s a LOT.

Labs and teams are now cranking away on the vSphere pre-release bits – aim is to have content ready at launch….

Chad,

Great stuff as always. I'm looking for data and whitepapers on establishing the I/O profile and impacts of desktops in View 3/ThinApp. Also looking for a few scenario impacts for building design cases for VMware backup options with Avamar, VCB, Snap, RecoverPoint, etc. Kind of like a sliding scale of basic to super high end VMware DPM designs.

Thanks for the info. but perhaps you could request the creation of more information on VMware SRM, EMC Rep Mgr and Celerra Replicator. In particular how the products can integrate or not (if that is the case) to get around the issue of crash consistent replicas of key workloads such as SQL\Exchange and Oracle.

We have several customers requesting this type of setup but do not have clear guidance from EMC on how to or if its even possible. The best information to date is posted by Alex Tanner on the VMware forum here:
